Sales Support Assistant

Job Summary

The Sales Support Assistant is responsible for providing sales and administration support to the Sales Support Supervisor and the VP of Marketing. This person reports to the Sales Support Supervisor.

Job Description

  • Assist all sales personnel in quoting, copying, and handling issues when sales people are unavailable or as needed.
  • Accurately enter, complete, and verify sales information such as: sales orders, change orders, and misc. sales date in a timely manner.
  • Recognize the need and issue changes in orders and distribute as required.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports.
  • Communicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  • Ability to assign and monitor serial numbers for manufactured bodies.
  • Develop extensive knowledge of parts, service, and products of the company.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Meets minimum requirement of a High School Diploma with two years’ office experience including data entry.
  • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail in order processing and data entry.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, fax, multiline phone, and other office procedures.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
