Refuse collectors envision a future in which zero waste is deposited into landfills. With an eye fixed firmly on that future, New Way® leads the industry with the introduction of the first auger-driven organics collection truck in North America, the New Way ROTO PAC®.
Organics on Monday, municipal solid waste (MSW) on Tuesday—with ROTO PAC®’s dual-purpose waste collection capabilities, gone are the days of maintaining separate trucks to handle a community's waste management needs. As the first side loader refuse truck that works as equally well with MSW as it does with organics refuse collection, the dual-purpose New Way ROTO PAC® is designed for operational flexibility.
The New Way ROTO PAC®'s self-cleaning auger not only more efficiently compacts organic materials, such as grass clipping and food waste, but will automatically reverse in the event of a jam. The 23,000 lbs of auger torque makes quick work of compaction and self-cleaning, eliminating down time to clean out behind the packer RAM. The automated arm has a 12-foot reach and can easily manage up to 500 lbs at maximum extension.
Add to that, a body up to 27 yd³, the highest legal payload in the industry of 25,000 lbs, reduced cylinder maintenance thanks to the self-cleaning auger, and a liquid-tight hopper up to 40-inches high, and you have the most innovative, adaptable, and futuristic dual-purpose side loader waste collection truck available on the market today.
The New Way ROTO PAC® switches easily between organics and MSW collection.
New Way ROTO PAC® revolutionizes clean out and superior compaction through an innovative auger-driven design.
Organics collection can produce excess liquid, and New Way ROTO PAC® is designed to handle it all with a liquid-tight body to 40" high.
“The [New Way ROTO PAC®] auger blade system was awesome! It chewed up anything I threw at it, which made it so much easier to pick up big stops. Instead of waiting and revving to pack down, it pretty much turned the trash into shredded paper. I couldn't pack the truck out, I ended up with 12.5 tons and was still packing without missing a beat. The 12-foot reach is awesome too. The dumping process was much cleaner. It was easier for the dozer to pack down in the trailer." Jake Hughes
