Sourcewell Awards New Way Trucks With Another Four-Year Contract

Scranton, IA (January 1, 2020) – Sourcewell, one of the largest government contract cooperatives in North America, recently awarded a four-year contract to New Way Trucks, an Iowa-based refuse truck manufacturer. This competitively tendered contract applies towards Mobile Refuse Collection Vehicles with Related Equipment, Accessories, and Services. New Way Trucks’ submission to Sourcewell’s Request For Proposal (RFP) in this category was evaluated by the cooperative’s committee, deemed responsive, and approved. As a “Sourcewell Awarded Contract” vendor, New Way is a part of a select group of world-class vendors.

This specific partnership allows members of the Sourcewell organization to have access to competitively solicited contracts for needed upgrades to a community’s waste collection capabilities with New Way refuse trucks. The contract extends to the full line of New Way products and other services, opening the opportunity for municipalities to have access to all of the options the company has to offer.

“We are extremely proud to be awarded this contract and be able to continue ensuring communities can purchase New Way refuse tucks in a cost-effective manner,” said Don Ross, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for McLaughlin Family Companies and New Way Trucks. “This will be our second awarded contract from Sourcewell, and we are excited to have this opportunity again to continue building a strong relationship with the organization and its members.”

New Way’s first four-year contract was awarded in 2014 and granted a one-year extension in 2018. The use of cooperative contracts has been on the rise for years – Sourcewell alone has more than 50,000 members. By utilizing awarded contracts, governments and non-profit organizations can save time, effort, and money when procuring goods and services across a variety of different categories.
