New Way Leader Promoted to Service Manager

SCRANTON, Iowa (November 5, 2018) — New Way Trucks, a worldwide leader in the refuse truck manufacturing industry, recently promoted Don Woerdehoff to service manager. Woerdehoff has worked in the company’s engineering department for six years, and will bring his manufacturing and service expertise to the position.
As the service manager, Woerdehoff will oversee inside and outside service teams, in addition to managing the controls group, the division responsible for electronic controls and CAN bus architecture on all of New Way’s waste collection products.
Woerdehoff has worked as part of New Way’s engineering team since being hired in 2012. Most recently he assisted with the development of and served as team leader for the controls group. Prior to joining New Way, Don gained manufacturing expertise as an engineering assistant at Pella Corporation, one of the United States’ largest window manufacturers.
Eric Herbers, an 11-year New Way employee who has worked in several areas of the company, will take over as the controls group lead.
“Don has made a big impact on New Way in the past six years, and we are excited to have him bring his engineering experience and knowledge to our service department,” said Don Ross, New Way’s vice president of sales and marketing. “He cares about keeping our customers’ trucks in service and operating, and will strive to keep improving our service offerings.”
